Alexis Sanchez took his tally to eight goals this season with his double in Arsenal’s comfortable 4-1 win over bottom-placed Sunderland. A brilliant strike from Gaston Ramirez helped Middlesbrough to a first win in eight Premier League games as they beat Bournemouth 2-0 at the Riverside Stadium. Boro scored two in a game for the first time since their only other league win this season, which came against Sunderland. However, the main drawback for Boro from their first home win of the campaign will be the form of striker Alvaro Negredo as the Spaniard has not scored since the opening day of the season. This was Middlesbrough's 250th Riverside win and Aitor Karanka's 150th win as manager in charge. Leicester City earned their first away point in the Premier League this season with Harry Kane's absence felt again for Spurs as they were held to a draw for the third straight match. However, this was another blunt attacking performance from Tottenham, who lost ground on their rivals. Leicester travel to Copenhagen on Tuesday where victory will guarantee their progress to the Champions League knockout stages. Hull City suffered their sixth straight Premier League defeat, courtesy of a late own-goal from Tigers' captain Michael Dawson at Vicarage Road. Hull stay in 18th and are without a league win since 20 August, while Watford move up to seventh. Watford are now above Manchester United and champions Leicester in the Premier League table after 10 games. Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League in emphatic style as they ended a run of six winless matches with a 0-4 win over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns. Sergio Aguero was clearly the Man of the Match as his movement was excellent and the finish ruthless. He hadn’t scored in his last eight games for club and country, missing penalties for both and his future at Man City has been questioned, but this was a timely reminder that he is one of the best strikers in the world. Manchester City's next game is at home to Barcelona in the Champions League. Liverpool edged Crystal Palace 4-2 at Selhurst Park as the Reds moved level on points at the top courtesy of a six-goal thriller. Only Pep Guardiola's side have scored as many goals as the Reds this season, although Liverpool's first-half performance was their most worrying of the campaign so far, involving some panic-wracked defensive insecurity. Despite their brilliance in attack, Liverpool's defence remains a weakness, with Dejan Lovren twice allowing James McArthur to level before the break. An eye-catchy performance from Ross Barkley, who created one and scored one, gave Everton a much needed victory over West Ham United who remain close to the relegation zone. Everton ended a run of five matches without a win with a scrappy triumph over the Hammers. Eden Hazard and Diego Costa helped Chelsea edge past Southampton 2-0 to keep the Blues on the shoulder of the Premier League pace-setters. Convincing wins for their title rivals a day earlier put the pressure on Antonio Conte's men as they faced a Saints side that was unbeaten in five matches. Chelsea moved back to within a point of the top with the win at St Mary's Stadium. Claude Puel's Saints, enjoyed plenty of possession but couldn't cause a serious threat to Chelsea's disciplined defence. Stoke thrashed Swansea 3-1 as Wilfred Bony scored a brace to hand the Potters their third straight win. Meanwhile, the Swans are second from bottom and new manager Bob Bradley is still without a win.
