RFYS Football Finals: Six ISL clubs, AIFF scouts join hands to pick Best XI

There was no dearth of footballing talent in the 2019-20 Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) Football National Finals. The top 40 teams from all around the nation descended in Navi Mumbai after more than 6700 games played in the past five months. 800 budding athletes fought out for the top honours across five categories as the mega finals concluded at the Reliance Corporate Park here on Sunday. An expert panel which had scouts from six ISL clubs and the AIFF picked out the Super XI for the boys consisting of footballers from the College and Senior categories. The substitute bench includes youngsters from the Junior and Sub Juniors. The attacking trio of Anurag PC, Samuel Kynshi and Robert Khongjoh lead the line as the three have scored 15 goals between them in the finals. Anurag and Samuel have also been called up for trials by ISL side Chennaiyin FC. Paloenmang Khongsai makes it into the centre of the park with the Kerala duo of Aman and Ajsal. It will be an all north-eastern backline as Manipur-born Sanasam joins the Shillong boys. Kastur Das from Asansol makes the cut between the sticks.
