The 22 year-old was taken off with a reported thigh injury within the first half hour of the game itself.
Lionel Messi was once again the talking point in Barcelona's 3-1 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. However, there is another major incident that needs to be brought in attention, Ousmane Dembele and his persistent injuries. His teammates Luis Suarez and Clement Lenglet, too, happened to talk about the issue after the win. In a surprising starting lineup, Dembele was given a start by Ernesto Valverde ahead of his compatriot Antoine Griezmann, to play against his former club. However, the Frenchman had to leave the pitch within the first half an hour with a thigh injury. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] "The doctors have to try and find a solution to his injuries," quoted Luis Suarez, as per ESPN. It is quite frustrating to see a bright talent as Dembele on the sidelines every month or two. Interestingly, this is his ninth injury since joining the Blaugrana in 2017. Further tests will determine the extent of his injury but its has been devastating for the player. Apparently, Dembele was seen leaving the pitch with tears in his eyes, knowing he will have to miss some more games. "They have to find out how he keeps getting injured after he has recovered. We hope he's back with us soon," Luis Suarez went on to add. [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | Article Continues Below"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS] Barcelona centre-half Clement Lenglet to had some words of consolation for Ousmane Dembele after the game. "It's a shame because he always tries to be fresh for every game." "He was looking forward to playing against his old team and he left the pitch crying because he has football in his heart. When you can't play, you feel it," added Lenglet. The sad part is Ousmane Dembele has already missed six games this season due to anonymous injuries. And the injury against Dortmund happens to dampen his hopes for the season once again.Latest News
