The Bengal Tigers are desperate to continue their winning form while Mumbai hope to get back to winning ways.
Second placed Atletico De Kolkata host Mumbai City FC in a crucial tie in the Indian Super League at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium on Tuesday with ATK looking to continue their winning form while Mumbai City FC desperate to get back to winning ways after a couple of losses and draws. This is the third consecutive home fixture for the Red and White brigade. ATK have 9 points from 5 games while Mumbai City FC are placed fourth with 8 points from 6 games. When these two sides met earlier in the season it finished in a 1-1 draw at the Mumbai Football Arena. Team News Apart from marquee Helder Postiga who is still getting match fit and Bikash Jairu who is out of the season with a muscle tear, ATK have a full strength squad to pick from. Ofentse Nato, Arnab Mondal and Javi Lara are fit and raring to go. Stephen Pearson is also set to return after missing the last game against Delhi Dynamos after being booked twice against FC Goa. On the other hand, for Mumbai City FC Diego Forlan ad Sony Norde will lead the attack with Matias Deferdico supporting from behind. Pronay Halder will miss this match with injury. Sunil Chhetri and Amrinder Singh are yet to join the squad as they are busy plying their trade for Bengaluru FC. Head to Head Both sides had five meetings between them before Tuesday’s contest and both ATK and MCFC have won twice and lost twice with a draw in the last encounter in this edition. Man to Watch Borja Fernandez-(Atletico De Kolkata): One of the constants of Atletico de Kolkata's journey through the ISL has been Borja Fernandez, not least because he has an engine on him that allows him to control the midfield with authority and those around him to take more chances in attack. The former Real Madrid midfielder has started almost every ATK game till date, and has kept himself match-fit during the off-season season by turning out for La Liga clubs Eibar and Valladolid. He has scored at least one goal in both previous ISL seasons, and would love to open his account against Mumbai, giving coach Jose Molina another scoring outlet. Sony Norde-(Mumbai City FC): Mumbai City are finding it difficult to get goals, barring the away away in Delhi where the largesse of the home side opened up three goal-scoring opportunities for them, but Sony Norde could play a critical role in scoring and creating goals and at a city that he has a significant link with. Norde is a local star known for his role in helping Kolkata's Mohun Bagan win their first national league title in over a decade in 2015. The striker enjoys dribbling and going for goal. The Haitian international has already scored a peach of a goal in the 3-3 draw in Delhi and might revel given the opportunity to play alongside Diego Forlan, taking on one of the most compact defences in the league. Probable Line-ups Atletico De Kolkata (4-2-3-1)- Majumdar, Kotal, Mondal, Tiri, Prabir, Nato, Borja, Lara, Doutie, Ruidas, Hume. Mumbai City FC (4-2-3-1)- Roberto (GK), Aiborlang, Anwar, Goian, Sena Ralte, Sehnaj, Vadócz, Jackichand, Sony Norde, Defederico, Forlan (C).
