The ATK boss felt too many fouls were given against his team...

Atlético de Kolkata came away with a point from the capital city after drawing 2-2 in the 2016 Hero Indian Super League with league leaders Delhi Dynamos FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. ATK took a first-half lead through Iain Hume before Milan Singh equalised for the hosts in the 63rd minute. Javi Lara put Kolkata in front again in the 71st minute but Florent Malouda scored Delhi's second leveller of the night as ATK failed to make their man advantage count with Badara Badji seeing red towards the end of the first half. Speaking to the media at the post-match press conference, Kolkata head coach Jose Molina chalked his side's failure to bag maximum points against Delhi's ten men up to a lack of intensity in the second period. “I think we did a great job in the first half. We played well and scored one. In the first half, the referee gave a lot of fouls against our players and when the Delhi players touched us it was not a foul. In the second half, I think after the sending-off we were a little scared as we may also get booked by the referee and we did not defend with the same intensity and allowed Delhi to move around with the ball and they scored two goals,” said Molina. Malouda scored Delhi's second after some questionable defending by ATK's backline. Reflecting on whether the goal could have been avoided, Molina said: “From the bench, it is difficult to tell, you know. There were defenders, so I don't know how he managed to score. If the referee allows Malouda to do everything he wants, then it is difficult for the defenders to stop him as they don't have the quality of Malouda. If the referee allows me to do everything I want then maybe even I can do it or maybe not. Don't get me wrong Malouda is a great player, he does not need help.” The game also saw Sameehg Doutie, who provided the assist for Hume's opener, being substituted in the first half after picking up an injury. When asked for an update on the South African winger's condition, Molina said: “We don't know and we hope it is not a big injury and we will know when we get back to Kolkata tomorrow as we will have to do some tests, but I was talking to him and I don't think it is bad as it is regarding something about his hamstring. So, I hope it is not bad because if it is bad, then it is a big problem. So, let's hope it is not bad.” [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]Report and Phot0 © ISL Media
