We have good strikers it may take time but they will score-Jamil
The Aizawl manager is keen to build on his team's good start to the season...
Aizawl FC take on Shillong Lajong in the season's first Northeast Derby on Tuesday.
New Aizawl manager Khalid Jamil could not have asked for a better start to the season after a draw and a win in his first two games at the helm. The hosts now look to continue their good run of form against their regional rivals.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game Jamil was quick to pay tribute to his opposite number. “It is always difficult to play against Thangboi. We will have to be a 100 percent fit both physically and mentally.”
Jamid further added that he will be making a few changes in his team lineup, and will not be starting the match tomorrow with all the same players who started in their match against Minerva Punjab.
Incidentally, Aizawl FC could find the net only once so far in the I-League as the winning goal against Minerva Punjab FC was an own-goal netted by Loveday Enyinnaya in added time. In spite of this, Jamil asserted, “We have good strikers. It may take time, but they will score.”
