The Kolkata tactician was delighted aftewr his team's dramatic win in Goa...
Atletico de Kolkata inched closer to qualification for the playoffs after a commanding 2-1 win over hosts FC Goa in the Indian Super League match at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Goa. The head coach Jose Molina was happy after defeating the Guars at their home ground and praised his team’s performance. “If any team deserved to win today, it was Atletico de Kolkata. The goal came in the last minute but we played really well. We had a brilliant first half.” Molina said. This was Kolkata’s last away match as they play their remaining two matches at home. A draw at away considered as a good result but coach Molina denied it saying “It was not our aim to play for a draw, we came here to win. But I must say that Goa put plenty of pressure on us in the second half,” ATK have conceded last minutes goals in most of their matches and this game was no different. But coach Molina believes that Goa’s equalizing goal was not their mistake. “We never know when the goal is going to come. We as a team defend from the first minute to the last minute. We try to be strong, we try not to give too many chances to score. Sometimes we do silly mistakes but today we didn't make a mistake, they found a gap and scored,” the Spaniard said. He also said that the match was one of the best matches of the ISL season. Photo © ISL MediaReport by Khel Now Correspondent Ravish Narvekar from Goa .
