FC Pune City head coach Antonio Habas is back from a four-match suspension carrying over from last season, and hopes his presence in the Stallions dug-out will inspire the players to their first home win of the 2016 Hero Indian Super League when they play defending champions Chennaiyin FC at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Balewadi on Sunday. Pune City have gathered four points from four matches so far thanks to one win, one draw and two losses, and on Sunday will be playing their fourth home match of the season. Habas is confident his team’s fortunes will change soon. “Till now the assistant coach [Miguel] had been working with the team, and he has done well. The players have done well. But obviously when the head coach is on the bench, the players are more confident and positive. I hope that the players play well with me on the bench tomorrow,” Habas told reporters on Saturday. “I am 100% confident that tomorrow will be a good result for us. This is my profession, I trust my players 100%.” Discussing Pune City’s campaign so far that has seen them lose at home to Mumbai City FC and NorthEast United FC, draw against Kerala Blasters FC again at home and win against FC Goa in Fatorda, Habas said: “Till now the performance is ok. We are growing with the team. But I am happy with the players so we hope to grow together.” “I want to win every game. When I don’t win, I am unhappy. I hope the team improves.” The Stallions are yet to beat defending champions Chennaiyin FC in the Hero ISL, losing three matches and drawing one across the last two seasons, and last year as Atlético de Kolkata head coach, Habas had to bear the ignominy of losing to the Super Machans in the semi-finals. When asked if he had any particular plans to keep the opposition at bay on Sunday, Habas said: “We created our team and we believe in the players. We are not looking at it as one team, as Chennai or any other team…We are confident about the team.” Habas, however, agreed that emotions will be running high against Marco Materazzi’s men. “For me, honour of the club is important.
