The Portuguese superstar will reportedly be asked to attend the second race of the season.

The second instalment in the 2023 Formula One season will be held in Saudi Arabia. Sky Sports F1 will broadcast every session from Jeddah's breathtaking street track live, beginning with Free Practice One at 1 p.m. on Friday.

The rest of the grid are aiming to retaliate in Jeddah after incumbent world champion Max Verstappen made a good start to his title bout in Bahrain.

Aston Martin and Fernando Alonso will be the focus of attention as everyone waits to see if their stunning rise to the front of the grid can be sustained. Ferrari are hopeful that set-up adjustments will unleash more power at a straight-line speed-dominant track that should suit them.

Will Ronaldo attend the Saudi Grand Prix?

As part of his enormously lucrative contract with the nation, Cristiano Ronaldo is apparently required to attend the F1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The superstar started working for Al Nassr in January and is now earning an eye-watering £173 million annually.

He will reportedly be "asked to attend," according to The Sun. It follows the denial by his current club Al Nassr that the former Manchester United player had a stipulation in his contract requiring him to serve as an ambassador for Saudi Arabia's quest to host the 2030 World Cup.

Ronaldo has previously been spotted at Formula One races. He was seen with Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes during the 2019 F1 Monaco Grand Prix, and two years ago, he attended the Ferrari headquarters in Maranello and got to know Charles Leclerc better.

After being benched by new Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag at the beginning of the season, Cristiano Ronaldo's future became a hot topic. Then, a conversation with Piers Morgan on TalkTV leaked, with Ronaldo admitting that he felt "deceived" and that Ten Hag "doesn't show respect" towards him.

This began the complete narrative of how his relationship with the United manager worsened, leading to the termination of his employment.

Upon joining the Riyadh-based club, the Portuguese superstar has netted eight goals in his first seven outings.
