Will Cristiano Ronaldo play tonight in Estrela vs Al Nassr pre-season friendly?

This will be the first-ever clash between these clubs!

The Liga Portugal club, C.F. Estrela da Amadora, will now have a face-off against the Saudi Pro League winners, Al Nassr at Estádio José Gomes in Amadora, Portugal. This is going to be an entertaining club friendly for these clubs ahead of the new season.

After losing to Benfica B in their first pre-season game, the Ange Postecoglou-led side came out on top with a 2-0 win against Mérida. They are currently in Portugal and are preparing for the 2026-27 campaign. Al Nassr had better control of the game in their second club friendly game. They will be looking for yet another win, but must come up with a consistent performance.

After a break, Joao Felix and Sadio Mane are now going to train with Al Nassr in Portugal. It will be interesting to see what difference they will make in strengthening the squad. Felix was one of the top scorers for the club alongside Cristiano Ronaldo last season and Mane’s performances for the Saudi Pro League champions were quite noticeable.

Will Cristiano Ronaldo play against Estrela?

CR7 is yet to join Al Nassr back for training. The Portuguese talisman is currently on a break after the FIFA World Cup 2026. He is expected to be back in action for the last pre-season game against UD Almeria, but as for Estrela vs Al Nassr, Ronaldo will be absent.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored 28 goals and had two assists in 30 appearances in the Saudi Pro League 2025-26. He is usually the lone striker for Al Nassr in the final third, but in his absence, Joao Felix or Abdullah Al-Hamdan are going to be the focal point of attack.

Al Nassr secured the league title last season; they will now be looking to defend it and fancy their chances in the AFC Champions League Elite. The fellow Saudi club Al Ahli are the Asian champions from the last two seasons.
