Ronaldo's Al-Nassr beat Al-Ittihad 2-1 to book their place in Saudi Super Cup final; new signing Joao Felix bags winning goal

Goals from Sadio Mane and Joao Felix helped the Knights of Najd to overcome Al-Ittihad.
Al-Nassr have booked their place in the final of the Saudi Super Cup after beating Al-Ittihad 2-1 in the semi-final of the tournament. Goals from Sadio Mane and new signing Joao Felix guaranteed a second final in a row for Jorge Jesus’ side.
Al-Nassr were the better side in both halves as they had more shots. However, they only managed to convert two out of three on target. After opening the scoring for his side, Mane was later sent off in the 25th minute of the game.
His goal that gave his team an early lead was later cancelled out by Al-Ittihad forward Steven Bergwijn, who found the back of the net in the 16th minute. As both sides strived for the winning goal, new signing Felix opened his account for Jorge Jesus’s team. He tapped the ball in after Cristiano Ronaldo squared the ball to him in the 61st minute.
Al-Nassr are the deserving winners as they edged out Karim Benzema’s side and secured their place in the final. They will either face Al Ahli or Al Qadisiyah in the championship game.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. will now hope to forget the nightmare of last year’s final, where they lost to Al-Hilal. Once again, they will seek to start the new season by lifting a trophy.
Despite not being on the scoresheet, Ronaldo managed to provide an assist, which was game-winning, as Al-Nassr will now wait to learn their opponent for the final tomorrow. However, they will be without their star player, Mane, who received a red card in the game and now will miss the final.
