Dybala has just one year left on his AS Roma contract.

Paulo Dybala could be another big star on his way to the Middle East. Reports reveal that Al-Qadsiah, a club that plays in the Saudi Pro League, have reached a personal agreement to sign the Argentine from AS Roma. The contract they offered is believed to be for three years, worth €45m.

AS Roma are seemingly looking to part ways with the player who had a €12 release clause, which expired at the beginning of August. Dybala has one year left on his Italian club contract currently.

Roma have given the player the green light to start initial talks with the Saudi club. His agent Carlos Novel is currently in Italy and has met with emissaries from Al-Qadsiah.

It is also understood that Dybala’s wife Oriana Sabatini – isn’t interested in uprooting their lives for a completely new culture in the Middle East despite the club reaching a personal agreement with the player.

Meanwhile, Roma’s plan to offload Dybala has been mainly due to his massive salary. The 30-year-old’s wages are around €16m gross this season, and will later rise to €30m across two seasons if he stays.

Dybala additionally had a clause in his Roma contract which indicated that the player is allowed to extend for one more season if he makes a minimum number of appearances.

The deal that Dybala signed with Serie A club two years ago permitted him to automatically extend until 2026 if he had played at least 50% of games for at least 45 minutes during his time at the club.

Dybala who joined Roma under Jose Mourinho had a decent stint, scoring 34 goals across 77 appearances for the club. Roma appointed former player Daniele De Rossi as their new manager last season and it seems like Dybala doesn’t have any future under him.

It seems like the player will have to relocate to Saudi Arabia to continue playing as no other European club have considered making a move for the player.
