Arne Slot provides Alexander Isak & other Liverpool players injury update ahead Man City clash

The Reds will face Manchester City on Sunday.
Alexander Isak has resumed training before Liverpool’s Premier League matchup with Manchester City, according to Arne Slot.
In Liverpool’s 5-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt last month, Alexander Isak suffered a groin injury and was substituted at halftime of the UEFA Champions League match.
Since then, the Sweden international has missed matches against Brentford, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and Real Madrid, with the latter two games being the ones where the Reds prevailed.
Arne Slot provides welcoming news of Alexander Isak’s fitness

Speaking before the match against Real Madrid, Slot hinted that Isak would make a comeback to the team for the match against Man City. Sweden national team boss Graham Potter also called up the striker for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.
“He will train for the first time today with the team again after being three weeks out,” Liverpool boss Arne Slot confirmed in the pre-match press conference.
“I know that I said three weeks ago his pre-season has ended, so now it’s time to for us to see where he is but I have to come back to those words because if you’re three weeks only with the rehab, that doesn’t bring you back to the levels he was at three weeks ago.”
Other injury updates
Alexander Isak is scheduled to return to full training on Friday in an attempt to secure a spot in the Sunday matchday squad, which may be beneficial for the Reds.
While Alisson Becker is still out, he is anticipated to return for the Nottingham Forest match following the November international break.
Due to a hamstring injury, Jeremie Frimpong will also miss Liverpool’s trip to the Etihad Stadium. Meanwhile, Giovanni Leoni, a summer acquisition, will be sidelined for an extended period of time.
