Antony reveals he rejected Bayern Munich offer for Real Betis move

The Brazilian recently joined the Spanish club permanently.
Before completing his long-term move to Real Betis, Manchester United failure Antony disclosed that he turned down a bid to join Bayern Munich.
On deadline day, the Brazilian winger, who lost favour at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim, formally cemented his return to Betis by signing a five-year contract worth €25 million (£21 million/$27 million).
After Amorim took over as United’s manager in November of last year, the forward’s playing time at the club drastically decreased. Ultimately, during the January transfer window, he was loaned to Betis, where he had a fruitful six-month stint.
While the club sought to secure a permanent transfer for him, the Brazilian was compelled to practice with Amorim’s “Bomb Squad” upon his return to Old Trafford this summer.
Antony confirms Bayern offer

The 25-year-old has now stated that he got proposals from not less than five other teams, including Bayern, the German champions. Still he had decided to go back to Betis.
Speaking to El Partidazo, Antony said: “I spoke with Bayern Munich. I don’t know if it was [a] €7 million [offer], but I said I had Betis’s word and that it was 95% certain and that I would respect my word. I feel comfortable making this decision because I’m very happy here.
“More than five teams called me.”
On September 14, when Betis play Levante in LaLiga, Antony might feature following his permanent transfer that happened on deadline day. With one victory, two draws, and one loss in their first four games of the new season, Manuel Pelligrini’s team is presently in eighth place in the LaLiga standings.
