The Gunners will travel to Bernabeu with a three-goal lead.

Mikel Arteta’s team would be more than deserving of being semi-finalists as they destroyed Real Madrid 3-0 at the Emirates despite the absences of Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, and Gabriel Magalhaes.

The Gunners’ main regret from the first leg may have been that they did not establish a more decisive advantage, with 11 shots on goal that evening, the most by any side against Real Madrid in a Champions League quarterfinal match.

A home draw recently gave Arsenal a nine-match unbeaten streak in all competitions, giving confidence to North Londoners to return with a win at Bernabeu.

A rotating team was forced to settle for a point in a 1-1 London derby match with Brentford. If Arsenal lose unexpectedly to Ipswich Town this weekend, their prospects of winning the league may be officially over.

How can Arsenal line up against Real Madrid in the Champions League 2024-25 quarter-final second leg?

Arsenal predicted lineup: (4-3-3): Raya; Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Saka, Merino, Martinelli

The top aim for Arsenal would have been to finish their match against Brentford without suffering any fresh injuries. But their hopes were dashed when both Jorginho and Thomas Partey suffered setbacks in the second half.

Ben White was forced out of the game before kickoff after suffering a knock during training. He will need a test prior to the trip to Spain. The player is believed to be suffering from a significant injury.

Regardless of White’s level of physical fitness, a recovered Jurrien Timber will return to the starting lineup. Myles Lewis-Skelly, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Merino will be motivated to lead the Gunners to a win on Wednesday night.

Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee), Gabriel (hamstring), Havertz (hamstring), and Jesus (knee) are still out, and Riccardo Calafiori’s knee issue isn’t anticipated to improve in time for him to participate either.
