Arsenal preparing €120 million bid for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez: Report

The Gunners are in dire need of a natural centre-forward.
Even though Arsenal didn’t make any new acquisitions in January, it appears that they have great intentions to make up for it when the summer transfer market opens.
After some sub-par play from players like Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus—the latter of whom is currently sidelined due to a serious and protracted injury—the Gunners undoubtedly need to make some adjustments to their offensive strategy.
Fichajes claims that Lautaro Martinez, a forward for Inter Milan, is one of the big names Arsenal have lined up for the summer move and might have to shell out an incredible €120 million for the transfer.
That’s around £100 million, and it would be one of Arsenal’s largest acquisitions ever. It’s unclear if this report is true because the north Londoners don’t typically spend that much money.
If other reports are to be believed, Arsenal may pursue Benjamin Sesko and other high-profile players this summer, but it’s likely that the team’s supporters would also embrace a player like Martinez.
Martinez is intriguing and a logical player to keep an eye on. Arsenal will undoubtedly have a few names on their list and their priority will probably become apparent later.
It would be fascinating to watch what the Argentina international may accomplish in the Premier League after he has excelled for Inter.
Martinez’s 15 goals and three assists in every competition for Inter at this point this season make it obvious that he is true to form, even though his numbers aren’t all that different from Havertz’s.
Naturally, the 27-year-old is capable of more than simply goals and assists, but it’s difficult to imagine AFC shelling out that much cash for a player who would ultimately serve a similar role to Havertz.
In order to provide his team with more balance, Mikel Arteta would be wise to choose a striker who is faster and more prolific. He likely needs a little more diversity upfront.
