Aston Villa submit €32m bid for Joao Felix: Report

Unai Emery has been in talks with Felix and his agents.
According to reports, Aston Villa have made an initial bid of €32 million for Joao Felix. They are heavily interested in signing the Portuguese player. However, it’s highly unlikely that Atletico Madrid will accept their offer.
Los Colchoneros have been trying to get a maximum fee from the exit of former Benfica forward. The Spanish club have slapped a €60 million price tag for Felix. Villa see the value as unattainable. It will only be possible if they are able to sell John Duran to West Ham United or Saudi clubs.
Felix was part of the pre-season squad after his return from a loan spell at Barcelona. The Catalan club’s financial problem has been a major issue that has affected the club’s ability to pay a big fee. This saw them fail to sign Felix, though another loan move isn’t ruled out.
But Villa seem to be eager to bring the forward to the Premier League. Joao Felix has already played for an English side when he was at Chelsea on another loan stint.
Unai Emery has been in talks with Felix and his representatives over a possible move. On the other hand, Atletico will, without thinking twice, sell the forward if the Premier League side meet their price.
Felix was regarded as one of Portugal’s gifted individuals. Things haven’t been plain for Felix the forward since Atletico broke the bank to bring him to Spain from Benfica.
He hasn’t lived up to the billing and has been a bit part player ever since he split from manager Diego Simeone. Even though Atletico have been trying to sell him for a while, no team has been able to meet his asking fee.
Villa are expected to meet the Spanish team’s price tag for him. But it is going to be challenging given they first need to make a big sale themselves before forking out that much money.
