Auckland City FC FIFA Club World Cup 2025 squad: Myer Bevan & Adam Mitchell included

The New Zealanders will face the likes of Porto, Bayern Munich and Boca Juniors in the tournament.
Auckland City FC will go from being tourists to playing Bayern Munich with little to fear at this monthโs FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, featuring a team that includes part-time teachers, students, and estate agents.
Of the 32 teams competing in America, the New Zealand team, which has won the Oceania Champions League each of the last four years, is the only one that is not a full-time professional.
Auckland striker Angus Kilkolly told BBC World Service:
โWeโre all used to leaving the house in the morning, going to do the day job and then going and training football at night.โ
โI work for a power tool brand, a global brand, I manage a sales team there. Weโve got a few other boys who work in sales as well, real estate agents, teachers, a couple of the boys are uni students.โ
โItโs not easy but itโs something we have always done so we donโt really know any different. Itโs no different to going to school and then going to play football after school.โ
โThis opportunity might not come around again, so all the people around us know how major this event is and how much of an opportunity it is to play in it.โ
Participating in one of FIFAโs most prestigious events, Auckland City FC will look to make history. With nothing to lose, they hope to leave a mark on the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
They are in one of the toughest groups, featuring Bayern Munich, Boca Juniors, and Benfica. Reaching the knockout round will require blood, sweat, and determination on the pitch.
