Ballon d'Or 2024: List of all nominees

Vinicius Jr is the favourite to win the award.
We are just one month away from learning the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner, and for the first time since 2003, we don’t have the two greatest football players, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, on the list.
Many new faces have made it to the list and will be hoping to win the most coveted prize of football in October. A total of 30 players have been selected and out of them, three will fight for the individual prize.
For now, Rodri, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr are the favourites to win the prize, but anything can happen, while Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal became the youngest player to be nominated for the award.
Over the past decades, the prize has been dominated by Ronaldo and Messi and now for the first time, we won’t see either of them on the list. Messi was the 2023 winner after he led Argentina to the FIFA World Cup trophy while Ronaldo last won in 2017.
Messi remains the only player to have won the award eight times and it’s unlikely that any player will be able to break his record.
Meanwhile, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe won’t be favourites to win the award this time as both players endured an underwhelming time with their respective clubs despite winning league titles.
Now we take a look at the list of nominees and there are many surprising faces this time as the current Ballon d’Or is going to be a lot unpredictable.
