Top 10 favourites to win Ballon d'Or after end of Club World Cup 2025

The much-awaited Ballon d’Or 2025 ceremony will take place on 22 September.

The Ballon d’Or is an award given to the top men’s and women’s football players in the world. It is a yearly ceremony that recognises exceptional players every season.

It was first given out in 1956. In addition to the coveted individual award, the ceremony, which is organised by France Football, now offers rewards for young players, goalkeepers, coaches, clubs, and humanitarian impact.

This time, the greatest soccer players, head coaches, and executives will assemble at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on September 22nd to celebrate the 2025 Ballon d’Or award ceremony.

An international panel of specialised journalists votes on the top players based on a number of criteria, including individual and team performances, accomplishments, class, and fair play.
