Ballon d'Or or Champions League? Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe picks

The talented forward will look to lead the Spanish club to a treble this season.

Kylian Mbappe made his ambitions clear this season with Real Madrid. The Frenchman revealed that his objective is to win more titles than Ballon d’Or.

The forward finally made his dream move to the club he supported when he was a kid last summer. Since joining the Spanish club, he has enjoyed a rollercoaster ride.

Despite suffering to make a name for himself at the club initially, Mbappe finally hit his stride and has been spectacular for them. Now he has 33 goals this season and is the second top scorer in the LaLiga.

According to earlier reports, Real Madrid have chosen to switch up their main penalty taker. Instead of Vinicius Jr, Mbappe, a French attacker, will take the penalties.

Mbappe acknowledged in an interview with La Sexta that he would rather win the Champions League than win the Ballon d’Or. In order to solidify his legacy at Madrid, he also underlined his ambition to win every trophy imaginable.

“Ballon d’Or or Champions League? I would choose the Champions League. My mission is to win titles and make history with Real,” stated Kylian Mbappe.

Considering how the forward has fared so far in his debut season, it won’t be surprising if Mbappe wins his first UCL title. Madrid are contending for all trophies this season. They are in the final of the Copa del Rey, where they will face Barcelona.

In LaLiga as well, they are in the race for the title with Barcelona posing a big challenge. In the UCL, they will take on Arsenal in the quarterfinal.

Mbappe will have a big role to play in all the remaining matches of the competition as he dreams of lifting his first-ever European trophy with his childhood club. The forward will also hope to score more goals in the process and set new records.
