Olmo, De Jong & more - Barcelona injury update following 3-1 win over Atlético Madrid

The Catalan side have suffered another injury blow.
Barcelona trounced Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, but their sin at the Spotify Camp Nou came at a price. Dani Olmo was injured in the course of netting their second goal. It has since been determined that he is set for some time on the sidelines.
Olmo landed on his left shoulder after hitting the ball past Atleti’s goalie, Jan Oblak. Instantly, he was in a lot of agony. Hansi Flick was compelled to let him off, and as per Sport, Flick is going to be without his player’s support for the remainder of the year.
Dani Olmo has experienced a shoulder dislocation, for which he could undergo surgery. The bare minimum period out for him is expected to be three weeks, although Barcelona do not plan to put a date on him until the winter break.
Olmo’s left shoulder problems early in his career are a worry for Barcelona. His two-month absence in 2023 following surgery for a dislocation will raise concerns about a potential recurrence, which would be terrible news for the leaders of LaLiga.
Other Barcelona injury update

Frenkie De Jong was out against Atletico owing to sickness. However, the midfielder is thought to have healed in time to be eligible for selection this weekend.
Gavi is going to be on the sidelines until the initial phases of 2026 following a knee procedure. The Spanish midfielder underwent surgery to address a medial meniscus issue.
Barcelona will once more be without Fermin Lopez against Real Betis due to a muscular problem. However, the attacker might be available for the game with Eintracht Frankfurt on December 9.
Ronald Araújo, who was absent from Barcelona’s last two contests, has taken a time of leave to prioritise his mental health. It is uncertain at this point in proceedings when the centre-back might come back.
How long will Dani Olmo be out?
He is expected to be out until January 2026.
Which other Barcelona players are sidelined?
Gavi, Fermin, De Joing and Araujo are still out.
Where do Barcelona stand in the table?
They are first in the LaLiga table.
