Bayern Munich's UCL 2024-25 fixtures: Date, time, stadium & more
Bavarian giants will face Barcelona, PSG and Aston Villa in their UCL league phase matches.
Bayern Munich are expected to play in some extraordinary matches during the 2024–2025 UEFA Champions League (UCL) season. At the Allianz Arena, they will host matches against Dinamo Zagreb, Slovan Bratislava, Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica.
Conversely, they will be travelling to play Aston Villa, Feyenoord, Barcelona and Shakhtar Donetsk. It’s interesting to note that after 13 meetings between Bayern and PSG, with the former dominating with seven victories, another classic is in store.
In the Champions League, Bayern have also played Barcelona 13 times, with Bayern winning 10 of those matches. Even though Bayern have played every other team, they haven’t yet participated in a European competition against Slovan Bratislava.
A revolutionary new system is introduced for the 2024–25 Champions League season, which will replace the traditional group stage with an enlarged league phase.
There are now 36 teams in this phase, up from 32 in the previous one. With four home games and four away, each team will face eight different opponents under this revised format, guaranteeing a wider variety of matchups and more intense competition.
From the league phase, the top eight teams are guaranteed to advance to the round of 16. The bottom 12 teams will be eliminated, while teams placing ninth through twenty-fourth will compete for the final eight berths in the round of sixteen in a knockout playoff.
