Bournemouth fans won’t be happy with the news of their star player’s latest injury development. Antoine Semenyo was withdrawn from Ghana’s squad ahead of their clash against South Korea tomorrow.
The forward has sustained a left anterior talo-fibula ligament sprain, which was aggravated in Ghana’s game against Japan. Hence, he will return to Bournemouth and will undergo scans that will determine the timeline of his return.
Ghana are now playing friendly games after securing their place in the 2026 World Cup. Antoine Semenyo has played a crucial role in inspiring the national team to the competition.

However, the recent injury blow to the player will be a huge hit to Bournemouth, who are currently enduring a rough run of performance despite starting the new season on an excellent note.
This campaign, the Ghanaian forward has enjoyed a breakout season with the Cherries. He has netted six goals and provided three assists in 11 Premier League matches so far.
His exemplary performance has already alerted many top clubs in the league, who will be looking to make a move for the player.
However, his recent injury setback will be a major obstacle for Andoni Iraola’s side as they hope to fight for a UEFA Champions League spot this season.
The Cherries have been in impressive form, but a recent string of defeats has seen them fall to the ninth spot in the league table. Now the injury to their star player further worsens the situation.
They will hope that Antoine Semenyo has not picked up a serious injury and will recover in time for their clash against West Ham United on 22nd November.
Bournemouth will hope to regroup and return to winning ways when they return to action after the November international break, while also expecting Antoine Semenyo to recover on time.
