This talented group of stars will be the team to watch in this tournament.

Brazil are always among the favourites to win the competition due to their history in this competition. Dorival Junior’s side has won the 9 Copa America and will be on the hunt for their next title. The Seleção finished as the runner-up in the last year’s edition after losing to Argentina in a close match.

However, with the emergence of new talents such as Vinicius, Rodrygo and Endrick, there is a chance that this can be the year where they break the curse.

Brazilian predicted lineup (Formation: 4-2-3-1)

GK: Alisson Becker

The Liverpool goalkeeper is in line to become the no.1 goalkeeper in the Copa America after first-choice goalkeeper Ederson Moraes was ruled out due to an injury. He put on a sensational display against the USA in the last match, making many vital saves to keep Brazil in the game. Alisson is in line to make his 66th appearance for the national team in this opening match.

RB: Danilo

The Juventus skipper helped his team to qualify for the Champions League places. Despite having a turbulent season, he still managed to help the team win the Coppa Italia to finish on a stronger note. Danilo is a fantastic right-back who defends excellently while is also dangerous in attacks as he can provide the crosses and create chances from the right-hand side.

CB: Marquinhos

Probably the most experienced defender in the squad who has been a mainstay in the team over the years. Marquinhos brings unique qualities and leadership to the team.

CB: Eder Militão

Eder Militão had a tough campaign this season after being ruled out for much of the season due to an ACL Injury. However, he has done well to return to full fitness at a crucial time as Brazil kicked off their campaign against Costa Rica. Militão was an unused substitute in the last match after playing the full 90 minutes against Mexico.

LB: Wendell

Wendell has become the first choice left back for the national team after impressing Dorival Junior in the last couple of matches. He has appeared three times for the national team after making his breakthrough against England in a friendly match in March. Wendell had a good campaign for Porto after netting four goals and providing two assists in 25 matches.

CM: Bruno Guimaraes

The Newcastle United man had a fantastic season after finishing the season with 7 goals and assisting another 10. He will bring class in the middle of the park for the team as he can make impressive passes while also doing his defensive work efficiently. Guimaraes also has a knack for scoring crucial goals and can prove to be an important asset to the team in this competition.

CM: Douglas Luiz

Douglas Luiz will be given the nod here due to his experience of playing in big games. Luiz plays as a defensive midfielder but is also effective in the attacking phase. He had an outstanding season with Aston Villa as they qualified for the Champions League for the first time. There is already speculation about his move to Juventus who look to bounce back next season.

AM: Lucas Paquetá

Lucas Paquetá will be given the responsibility to create the chances for the team. He has excellent vision and dribbling abilities to take on defenders to join in attacks. Paquetá is also a hardworking defender who also does the defensive part effectively which makes him a valuable member of the team. Paquetá can be the perfect weapon for Dorival Junior in this competition.

RW: Raphinha

Raphinha has been trusted by Dorival Junior ever since his move to the national team. Raphinha had a good season with Barcelona after netting 10 goals this season while also assisting another 11. Raphinha played 65 minutes in the last match against the USA and also provided the only assist in the game. He is expected to be given the nod to start in this match.

LW: Vinicius Junior

Vinicius Junior had a remarkable campaign for Real Madrid as he helped them win the Champions League and La Liga. He finished the season with 24 goals and also scored an important goal in the Champions League final against Dortmund. Vinicius Junior will be crucial for Brazil in this tournament as his pace and dribbling qualities can help the team.

ST: Rodrygo

Rodrygo is expected to lead the line in this tournament after doing the same for Real Madrid in the whole season. Rodrygo didn’t disappoint either as he developed an excellent understanding with Vinicius as the two of them played a vital role for them. He finished the season with 17 goals and is also coming into this match after scoring against the USA in the previous outing.
