The Portuguese midfielder was linked with a move away in the summer window.
In an exclusive interview, Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes spoke about various topics and also addressed his future at the club, which has been the main headline since the end of the summer window.
During the summer window, Bruno Fernandes was linked with a move away from the club. He also came close to departing for a Saudi Pro League side.
However, he opted to continue at the club where he only inked a new deal last year, tying him to the club until 2027. Meanwhile, he continues to be on the Saudi club’s radar.
Bruno Fernandes reveals his conversation with United regarding his future

Bruno Fernandes reveals he felt that United wanted him to leave in the summer. He decided to inform them.
“The club wanted me to go [in the summer], I have that in my head. I told the directors this, but I think they didn’t have the courage to make that decision. I decided to stay, also because of family reasons, but because I genuinely like the club.”
The former Sporting CP midfielder also commented on his discussion with the head coach, Ruben Amorim.
“The conversation with the manager also made me stay. But, from the club’s side, I felt a bit like, if you leave, it’s not so bad for us. It hurts me a lot. More than hurting, it makes me sad because I’m a player they have nothing to criticise about. I’m always available, I always play, good or bad. I give my all.”
Fernandes talks about how a move to a Saudi team could have changed his life
Bruno Fernandes also confirmed an approach from one of the Saudi clubs, Al-Hilal. He feels that move could have changed his playing career:
“I can’t complain, I’m very well paid, but obviously the difference is huge. That was never what guided me. If one day I have to play in Saudi Arabia, I’ll play in Saudi Arabia.
“My lifestyle will change, my children’s lives will be sunny, after six years in Manchester with cold and rain, I’ll be playing in a growing league, with recognised players.”
