Cape Verde announce 26-man squad for FIFA World Cup 2026

Cape Verde will make their debut in the competition next month.
Head coach Bubista of Cape Verde has announced his official squad for one of the biggest competitions set to take place in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Cape Verde is a small nation in the central Atlantic Ocean off the coast of West Africa with a small population, which managed to qualify for one of the grandest tournaments.
They will be making their World Cup debut this summer, and the excitement will be over the roof as fans from a small population nation will be looking forward to supporting them in the tournament.
They will have big ambitions going into the competition next month and will be representing a small part of West Africa, hoping to make memories.
Not a lot will be expected from them, but they will be keen to leave a mark, and with the players who have been picked, they will carry great responsibilities in the competition. The manager and the former player, Bubista, has scouted every player throughout the year and has picked up those whom he feels are ready to fight for the country.
However, Verde are in a tough group, and they will be tested in all three of their matches. Hopefully, they will be prepared to pull one of the biggest upsets in the World Cup.
They will now also face Bermuda on June 6 in Connecticut as preparation for the tournament.
