The Italian coach’s future is uncertain at Los Blancos.

The Athletic claims that Carlo Ancelotti is anticipated to leave Real Madrid in order to join Brazil national football team. It is believed that Ancelotti will resign from his role as head coach of Real Madrid, with the Brazil team being his most likely destination.

After the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona, there were rumours that he might leave the club. But it appears that they will give him the grace of waiting until the end of the season.

Current Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso is anticipated to succeed him, though it is unclear if this would happen before or after the June-July FIFA Club World Cup.

He is the only head coach to have won the Champions League five times and taken home the league titles of all five major European countries.

Ancelotti is undoubtedly receiving plenty of offers. Given that his former clubs, Milan and Roma, where he initially became well-known as a player, are looking for a new coach in the summer, returning to Italy would be emotionally compelling.

The most likely course of action, though, is for him to agree to the Brazilian Football Federation’s job. They view him as their ideal manager as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Since being reappointed in 2021, Ancelotti has presided over a dazzling era in Real Madrid’s history. With Real Madrid, he has won the Champions League three times, including twice during his current rule.

He has also managed a FIFA Club World Cup victory, a FIFA Intercontinental Cup victory, two LaLiga victories, two UEFA Super Cup victories, and two Supercopa de España victories.

If Alonso accepts the position at Real, he will have a big shoe to fill. He led Bayer Leverkusen to the Bundesliga championship the previous season, but he lacks the 65-year-old’s level of experience.
