Carlo Ancelotti reveals why Kylian Mbappe missed training ahead of Real Sociedad game

Los Blancos will play Real Sociedad in the semi-final first leg of Copa del Rey.

Kylian Mbappe did not participate in Tuesday’s training session at Valdebebas for Real Madrid ahead of their Copa del Rey clash. According to RMC Sport, Real Madrid claimed that the French forward had a tooth extraction the day before.

His availability for Wednesday’s first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Sociedad is still uncertain. Following a difficult beginning at Europe’s most decorated club, Mbappe has been playing at an exceptional level in recent weeks.

Ancelotti on Mbappé not training due to tooth extraction: “He will travel and he will be available tomorrow”.

The former PSG player has made 38 appearances across all tournaments since the start of the season, tallying 27 goals and dishing out four assists.

Real Madrid have resumed training in anticipation of their Copa del Rey semifinal matchup with Real Sociedad in the semi-final of the competition, following their most recent triumph. They last played Girona at the Santiago Bernabéu and are in battle for the LaLiga crown alongside FC Barcelona and Atletico de Madrid.

Kylian Mbappé, who had to miss Real Madrid training because of a tooth problem that necessitated molar extraction surgery remains doubtful for the match. Now his recovery will examine his availability for the game when Los Blancos travel to Sociedad.

If Mbappe does end up missing the match then the Italian head coach is certainly going to rotate his starting lineup. Other players could get a chance to play in the semi-final of the competition.

It would therefore make sense for Endrick to make an appearance in the centre-striker position if Ancelotti chooses not to play Mbappé against Real Sociedad. The Brazilian scored the second goal in Real Madrid’s triumph against Leganés and played a crucial role in the team’s victory over Celta in the Copa del Rey.
