Chelsea agree €60m deal to sign Wolves star Pedro Neto

Neto is set to undergo medical before completing his move.
For the upcoming campaign, Chelsea appear to be assembling a formidable squad. The team brought in a tonne of players throughout the transfer window. They are among the teams that have been most busy this summer. It appears that they won’t let up until the transfer market gets closed.
The club are in talks with Wolves to sign their star player, Pedro Neto, after agreeing personal terms with the Portuguese winger. Chelsea did have a long-term interest in signing Neto. Given how the club have moved for signings, it won’t be a big surprise if they continue bringing new faces until the culmination of the window.
It is now understood that an agreement has been reached with Wolves for a fee of around €60m after Chelsea already secured a personal agreement deal with Pedro Neto’s agent, Jorge Mendes.
Neto will now undergo medical before completing his move to Stamford Bridge. He will be their another big signing of the summer as the Blues continue to recruit young players.
The club have acquired six players so far, such as Tosin Adarabioyo, Filip Jørgensen, Estevao, Willian, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for the first team.
With so many players on the Blues squad currently, it will be intriguing to see where they end up. There are many young players on the team right now, some may be loaned out to other teams so they continue to develop.
Neto joined Wolves from Lazio in 2019 and appeared in 135 appearances, scoring 14 goals. The forward became a key figure for Wolves. His performance attracted many clubs, with Manchester United and Arsenal also interested in signing him.
But the Blues seem to have won the race. Neto was also called up for the Portugal squad ahead of the Euro 2024. However, there he didn’t feature regularly.
He will now head to Bridge, where he will complete his medical. But given that the Blues already have Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke and Estevao Willian, the Portuguese wingers will have to fight for his place as a regular starter.
