The forward is reportedly not happy in London.
Despite recent rumours about Cole Palmer’s possible transfer to Manchester United, Chelsea apparently have no intention of letting him leave the team. Since moving to Stamford Bridge from Manchester City in 2023, the England and Blues player has been an important part of the team.
Now that the January transfer market is open, there is a lot of conjecture about what deals Chelsea and the other 19 Premier League teams might make.
After Enzo Maresca left Chelsea a few weeks ago, Liam Rosenior took over as head coach. Now, the new Blues manager will have to deal with rumours over Palmer’s future.
The Blues see Palmer as an important part of the squad

It appears, though, that Chelsea are unwilling to allow Palmer to depart for their Premier League rivals. According to The Telegraph, the Blues consider the England international to be “untouchable,” which means they wouldn’t consider any offer, no matter how big.
Palmer has only made 13 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions this season, including 12 in the Premier League, due to his physical issues.
Despite advancing through City‘s academy before making appearances for the first team at the Etihad Stadium, the 23-year-old was a Red Devils fan growing up.
When asked about Palmer’s future at Chelsea in light of rumours that the playmaker has grown “unsettled” at Stamford Bridge, Rosenior insisted that the England international is still an important part of the team both now and in the future.
Rosenior speaks on Palmer’s future
“I’ve had numerous conversations with Cole and he seems very happy to be here,” Rosenior said earlier this week. “He’s a huge part in our long-term plans.”
“My job and the club’s job is to get him into a situation where he can consistently perform to the level he wants to. There was frustration in the Brentford game. We need to look after him and that’s why I didn’t involve him in the last game.”
