The England international is reaching his full fitness.
Cole Palmer has provided a direct assessment of his level of fitness. This season, the winger for Chelsea and England has only made one appearance. Due to a groin issue, he was left out of the starting lineup for the match against West Ham late last month.
Palmer missed last weekendâs 2-0 victory over Fulham, a rival team from west London, due to a bothersome groin. However, in an Instagram photo dump, the 23-year-old hinted at an impending comeback to the starting lineup.
Palmer update on injury recovery
He captioned the photo, which featured a number of pictures of his most recent activities, âSoon back.â
Chelsea supporters who were excited to see Palmer return to fitness poured their responses into Palmerâs comments area. Next Saturday night, Chelsea will return to play when they travel to face Brentford in West London.
After that, they will play their first UEFA Champions League league phase match against Bayern Munich before travelling to Old Trafford to play Manchester United.
At one point, Chelsea would be very against it and have had a hard time winning games if Palmer didnât play.
But the Blues have proven they can win games without the England international in their victories against Fulham and West Ham.
Palmer obviously makes Chelsea a much better team, but it doesnât seem like they are depending on him as much as they did in past seasons.
Liam Delap could be set for a long period on the sidelines

Palmer might play in the London derby against Brentford when he returns to action following the international break. Although Palmer may be getting close to returning to action, summer acquisition Liam Delap is one player who wonât play for a while.
Delap left the pitch after 15 minutes in the victory over Fulham, after having started two of the first three fixtures in the Premier League after joining for ÂŁ30 million from Ipswich Town.
Due to a hamstring injury, the England under-21 international might be sidelined for up to eight weeks, but some are worried that he might be out longer.
What injury has Palmer suffered?
He has sustained a groin injury.
How long does it take to recover from a groin injury?
It depends on the extent of injury, with mild strains often healing in 4-8 weeks, while severe or grade 3 tears can take several months to recover.
When will Chelsea next play?
They will play on 13th September against Brentford.
