The Blues are fourth in the Premier League table.

Chelsea supporters will now be eagerly awaiting the team’s Premier League return. With no league football scheduled because of the international break, Enzo Maresca’s team had a relatively peaceful weekend.

However, it won’t be long until the manager has a complete roster to work with once more. The players will soon begin returning to their training camp as they will prepare for Sunday’s clash against Liverpool.

When Chelsea travels to Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, they will face an extremely difficult opponent. The good thing is no player has suffered any injury so far and the former Leicester manager can have a full-fit team to face the Reds.

Chelsea injury update ahead of Liverpool clash

Chelsea have been handed a major uplift in their injury news after their club captain Reece James was spotted training. Maresca will be hoping that no other players sustain injuries while playing for their country and then join the right-back in the locker room before the Liverpool match.

However, Maresca will be glad to have James back in the squad after the full-back suffered an injury during pre-season.

After being absent since August, James finally appears to be getting close to making a comeback, albeit a month later than anticipated. After a strong preseason, the full-back suffered his most recent injury on the eve of the new season.

He had surgery last year in an attempt to put an end to his injury troubles permanently, and this most recent setback seemed to suggest that his issues would persist, so it was a heartbreaking time all around.

Meanwhile, when the other players return to Cobham, Maresca and his staff will undoubtedly be keeping an eye on their fitness to make sure they are healthy and ready for the match against Liverpool.

Because of their early Wednesday morning matches for Argentina and Ecuador, respectively, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez will be among the last players to make it back to their training camp.
