Chelsea injury news ahead of Liverpool clash; Reece James set to be available

The Blues are fourth in the Premier League table.
Chelsea are set to face a tough opponent on Sunday. Under Enzo Maresca, they have only lost once. That solo defeat came against defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the opening game of the season.
The Blues have had a strong start to the season, remaining fourth in the Premier League standings with 14 points from seven games. This is despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest prior to the October international break.
The team led by Enzo Maresca has won seven straight games in all competitions. Plus they have only suffered one league loss this season, against Manchester City on the first weekend.

Reece James is eligible for selection, according to Chelsea head coach Maresca, ahead of the team’s Premier League trip to play Liverpool.
The Blues captain had been absent for a while. His most recent competitive appearance occurred under manager Mauricio Pochettino. He did make some preseason outings, but a setback kept him out for more time.
Nevertheless, Maresca has announced that James is now ready for selection after he returned to first-team training this week following a protracted hamstring injury.
“No, finally we are all available. Unless the suspended ones,” Maresca told reporters during his press conference when asked about the latest Chelsea injury news.
He went on to add: “It’s complicated when you get injuries again and again. It’s not easy – you are always looking for a solution.
“The solution with Reece is the same we are using with Wes and Romeo; using them in one game per week. Reece’s body, at the moment, cannot play twice a week.

“In this moment, this can be the solution. In the future, I don’t know. The solution is to allow him to go slowly and then in the future we can use him more.”
