Both European giants will clash in the revamped Club World Cup 2025 final.

In Sunday’s final between Chelsea vs Paris Saint-Germain, the Blues will try to win their second FIFA Club World Cup championship. Here, we examine some of the most noteworthy data and facts prior to the match at MetLife Stadium.

This is the first time the Blues are facing PSG since a 4-2 aggregate loss in the 2015–16 Champions League last 16. Chelsea had previously defeated the French team just once in six meetings (two PSG victories, three draws).

Chelsea’s stats ahead of PSG clash

West Londoners will play back-to-back games at MetLife Stadium, which has a capacity of 82,500. Seventy-five thousand people attended their semi-final. The Blues have won 18 of the last 29 major cup finals and advanced to their 30th since 1997.

Only Real Madrid (five) and Barcelona (four) have reached the FIFA Club World Cup final more times than Chelsea (three).

Chelsea have won five of their previous international finals (not counting Super Cups) since 2013, including Real Betis’ 4-1 win in this year’s UEFA Conference League. In the 2012 Club World Cup, they lost to Corinthians 1-0, which was their most recent loss in that kind of game.

In the last 15 games in all competitions, Chelsea have won 13 of them, lost only to Newcastle and Flamengo (both of whom finished with 10 players), and kept seven clean sheets.

With an average age of 24 years and 184 days, Chelsea’s starting lineup is the second youngest in the competition, surpassed only by Red Bull Salzburg’s roster, which had the squad, averaging 22 years and 361 days.
