The Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been linked with a number of clubs.

Napoli won Serie A in the 2022-23 season, a feat they hadn’t done in 33 years. In the club’s history, this was their third Scudetto—the first since Deigo Maradona’s tenure in 1990. Victor Osimhen, who accumulated five assists and 26 league goals in 32 games, was the team’s mainstay and the reason for their success.

But for the striker, following a change of manager, Napoli are ready to let go of the player since Antonio Conte wants to bring Romelu Lukaku in. Below, we take a look at clubs that could land the Nigerian star this summer.

4. Paris Saint-Germain

The 25-year-old has been linked to a summer transfer to PSG as a replacement for Kylian Mbappé, who left for Real Madrid. The Ligue 1 club are reportedly prepared to launch a bid for the player next week.

It was earlier reported that the Serie A team were hoping that PSG would activate Osimhen’s €130 million release clause. But so far the club have not shown any signs of doing so. Hence it remains to be seen if the French club are serious about signing the striker.

3. Arsenal

Among the Premier League teams mentioned in the report are Arsenal. They have had their eye on the forward for a while. The striker’s sudden availability on the market looks to be well-timed, given Mikel Arteta’s team have also been strongly connected to the forward.

This move might cost them a hefty amount of money. However, Arsenal might want to show a little more ambition and make a move for the 25-year-old Serie A winner rather than pass on the opportunity for Brentford star Ivan Toney.

2. Chelsea

It’s no secret that Chelsea would benefit from having a goal scorer at the front of the team. Given how the Blues are performing, something has to happen. Todd Boehly is known for loving to throw money ever since he became their owner. The Blues would undoubtedly require substantial money to acquire Osimhen as well.

But as of now, it seems unlikely as the club have already signed Marc Guiu, while Nicolas Jackson also picked up his form by the end of last season. The club are also working to bring in Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion, so it will be strange to sign a fourth striker this summer.

1. Saudi Pro League clubs

While several established players, including Roberto Firmino, Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante relocated to the Saudi Pro League last summer, several young players also left European football for the Middle East.

Should the Napoli star decide to leave in the near future, Saudi Arabian teams will be the ones chasing him. Which teams will especially attempt to chase the forward is unknown.
