Palmer has been out since September.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has provided some welcoming news about Cole Palmer’s injury update. He confirmed that the forward is back on the grass training.
Palmer, who sustained a groin injury, has been out since September. Moreover, his return was further delayed after fracturing a toe while stubbing his foot on a door last week.
The groin injury sidelined him for three Premier League games, and he had returned to training before hurting his toe. He appeared in a 2-1 defeat to Manchester United. Since then, he has been out.

However, Maresca sounded positive about their star player’s return ahead of their Champions League clash against Barcelona tomorrow. He said:
“We don’t know when, but for sure it will be soon, he said in Monday’s press conference when asked about Palmer’s return. He is already on the pitch, already touching the ball, and the feeling is good.”
“I don’t think so at the moment,” he added on the possibility of Palmer coming back in time to face Arsenal. “Last time I spoke with Cole was yesterday after the session to ask how he was feeling, but I didn’t ask him details about the injury.”
Despite his return to training, Cole Palmer won’t be available for the FC Barcelona game, although he could return for the London derby if he passes the fitness test.
Chelsea have fared impressively despite Cole Palmer’s absence. They remain second in the Premier League, six points adrift of first-place Arsenal.
Meanwhile, their Champions League campaign hasn’t been satisfactory as they fight for a top-eight place in the competition to secure direct qualification for the knockout stages.
They will now be focused on their Tuesday tie against Barcelona. It will be one of the biggest encounters of the season, as both clubs share a great history in this tournament.
Which injury has Cole Palmer suffered?
He had a groin injury, but recently suffered a toe issue.
When will he return?

Where do Chelsea stand in UCL table?
