Ronaldo is yet to agree to a contract extension with Al-Nassr.

Cristiano Ronaldo has dropped shocking news regarding his future in Saudi Arabia as the forward could plan to leave Al-Nassr once his deal with them expires after the end of the season.

Ronaldo will turn 40 in February and he feels he is still capable of much more in his playing career. He doesn’t want to end his playing career even at that age as he aims to reach 1,000 career goals.

The Portuguese player has demonstrated enough that he can keep himself in shape till the 2026 FIFA World Cup, even though most great athletes decide to retire at the age of 40.

Since making his debut with Sporting Lisbon in 2002, CR7 has scored goal after goal, making him one of the greatest players in history, on par with Pele or Diego Armando Maradona, and even compared to the Argentine Lionel Messi.

Since his contract is coming to an end, Cristiano Ronaldo is open to leaving Saudi Arabia. Next year, the Portuguese great has no plans to retire.

“I’m going to be 40 years old, but I’m not finished, I want to score more goals, I want to keep winning more with the national team. I’ll keep going,” he said.

Ronaldo rejoined United in August 2021 after dazzling stints with Juventus and Real Madrid. Despite being past his prime and playing for a losing squad, the striker scored 24 goals in 39 appearances in his first season back at United.

However, following a falling out with then-manager Erik ten Hag, who had chosen to rotate him, Ronaldo left United for the second time in November 2022.

In Saudi Arabia, the Portuguese icon now stars for Al-Nassr. Ronaldo was named the finest player in the Middle East and the greatest striker of all time at the recent Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.

Ronaldo will return back to action in January when Al-Nassr, who are third in the Saudi Pro League table will face Al-Okhdood.
