The Portuguese forward has been cleared to train with his club teammates.

After a successful recuperation program in Madrid and Riyadh, Cristiano Ronaldo has been cleared to resume team training with Al-Nassr.

The legendary Portuguese player, who has been out with a hamstring injury, is anticipated to play in Friday’s Saudi Pro League match against Al-Najma. His recuperation gives Portugal‘s 2026 World Cup preparations and his club’s title challenge a much-needed lift.

Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane have been formally approved by Al-Nassr team physician Carlos Miguel to resume group training. It follows the completion of their individual injury rehabilitation regimens.

Due to a hamstring strain he suffered during a 3-1 victory against Al-Fayha, Ronaldo was unable to play in important games against Neom SC and Al-Khaleej. The 41-year-old went to Spain for specialised therapy to hasten his recuperation before coming back to the club’s medical facility.

Manager Jorge Jesus will have his main attacking weapons ready for the final stretch of the season. Mane has recovered from an ankle knock he suffered in the previous game.

As the league leaders try to maintain their three-point lead at the top of the table, reports from Arriyadiyah indicate that the medical staff is pleased with the advancements made by the seasoned pair. Ahead of a pivotal run of eight games to conclude the domestic campaign, the emphasis now switches to the league title.

With 21 goals in 22 Saudi Pro League games, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to be Al-Nassr’s attack’s undeniable focal point despite being out since late February. But after missing a lot of playing time in the past month, he is now behind Al-Ahli’s Ivan Toney (25 goals) and Al-Qadsiah’s Julian Quinones (24 goals) in the Golden Boot competition.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo’s long-term future is still up in the air. According to recent rumours, the renowned forward may ultimately retire after his current club deal expires in June 2027.
