Ronaldo will hope to turn around Al-Nassr’s poor form in the second half of the season.
Cristiano Ronaldo was seen pictured in training for Al-Nassr as the Saudi Pro League returns to action in the new year. The Portuguese was seen smiling in the photos as he gears up for the Al-Nassr’s next game against Al-Okhdood in the league.
Al-Nassr are currently fourth in the table as they look to fight for the title, although they are eleven points behind the first-place team Al-Ittihad.
The Portuguese star has 10 goals in 12 outings in the league and has assisted two goals so far into the season, as he hopes to change the fortunes of the club when the season progresses.
Al-Nassr were subpar in the first half of the season as they failed to win many games and were also eliminated from the Super Cup. But they are currently in AFC Champions League Elite as the hopes of winning a trophy remain a possibility.
Ronaldo linked with PSG move?
The unexpected January transfer rumours involving Cristiano Ronaldo have been put to rest, as his links to Paris Saint-Germain have been severed.
Following his 2021 exit from Barcelona, Lionel Messi, his longtime rival, played for PSG for two seasons. After two goal-filled years in the Middle East, Ronaldo is reportedly returning to Europe and may follow a similar route.
Ronaldo might yet be on the transfer early in 2025 as his record-breaking deal in Riyadh is going down by the end of the season. The evergreen 39-year-old is reported to be open to the prospect of taking on a new challenge, however, Al-Nassr remain ready to put fresh conditions in place.
But it seems like the rumour about Cristiano Ronaldo might leave as just that—a rumour. PSG apparently have no interest in the Portuguese forward because they have other things to do, according to RMC Sport. At the moment, the Parisian leadership is concentrating on player exits.
PSG want to bolster their team in addition to these possible departures. It appears that Cristiano Ronaldo does not fit into the club’s new endeavour, but Luis Campos is still looking for a forward to help out coach Luis Enrique.
