Cristiano Ronaldo's son called up to Portugal U15 squad for match vs England

This is Cristiano Jr.’s first call-up in international football.
Ahead of a forthcoming encounter against England, Cristiano Ronaldo’s son has been called up to the Portugal Under-15 squad.
On his Instagram, Cristiano Ronaldo confirmed the international call-up. His son’s name was the first on the list of squad members, so he placed a fire emoji next to it.
In addition, the forty-year-old wrote: “Proud of you, son.” Ronaldo Jr. joined his father in Saudi Arabia more than two years ago and is currently a player in Al-Nassr’s academy.
In his early career, the 14-year-old has also played for Juventus and Manchester United’s youth squads. He will now, however, experience international football for the first time.
Later this month, Portugal’s U15 team will go to Japan, Greece, and England. Ronaldo Jr. will be part of that team. Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, stated in 2022 that his son was adamant about playing with him in the future.
He said: “My son tells me: dad, hold on a few more years, I want to play with you!”
The Real Madrid icon vows, though, that he will never put pressure on his firstborn to achieve.
“I will never put pressure on him,” he added. “He’ll do what he desires.”
“Also what I want the most for Cristianito and everyone else is that they’re happy and that they choose what they want. I will support in any way.”
Meanwhile, the former Real Madrid star has been scoring goals for the club and country. Cristiano will be aiming to represent Portugal for the last time in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This is probably the only trophy the 40-year-old hopes to add in his illustrious career before calling his time from the sport.
But given his son wants to play with him at the professional level, Ronaldo will look to fulfil his promise before retiring from football.
