The Portuguese centre-forward this year signed a new deal with Al-Nassr, which will keep him at the club until 2027. As he enters the twilight of his career, there are many questions about how long he will continue to play, and he answered them during the Portugal Football Globe:
“I want to keep playing for a few more years, not many… I have to be honest,” Ronaldo said
He added: “I’m still producing good things, helping my club and the National Team. Why not continue? I’m sure when I retire, I’ll leave fulfilled because I gave everything”.
“I have a philosophy of living day by day. No long-term plans. I enjoy each day and each training session…Our goal is to win the next two games and qualify for the World Cup. What happens at the World Cup, we’ll see,” he concluded.

Ronaldo is also nearing another monumental record, as he is on course to score 1000 goals in his playing career. However, the player revealed that his family has urged him to now call it off and why he wants to score that many goals.
But the former Juventus star is still motivated than ever to reach that milestone as he also aims to win trophies with Al-Nassr this season.
“People, especially my family, say: It’s time for you to stop. You’ve done everything. Why do you want to score a thousand goals? Ronaldo told Canal 11.
“But I don’t think so. I think I’m still producing good things, I’m helping my club and the national team, and why not keep going?”
“I’m sure that when I finish, I’ll be fulfilled, because I gave it my all. I know I don’t have many more years, but the few I have, I try to enjoy to the fullest.”
