The Portuguese star is unhappy with the current situation at his club.

Cristiano Ronaldo has warned PIF and Saudi Pro League officials that he is willing to leave Saudi Arabia following the dispute over funding.

The 41-year-old is dissatisfied with Al-Nassr’s winter business, which he attributes to a lack of assistance from the Ministry of Sport and PIF. Nassr were only able to sign Iraqi midfielder Hayder Abdulkareem from Al-Zawraa SC and Saudi attacker Abdullah Al-Hamdan from Al-Hilal this winter.

Despite training with the team as usual, Cristiano Ronaldo will miss tonight’s match against Al-Ittihad after missing Al-Nassr’s 1-0 triumph over Al-Riyadh on Monday.

Despite not specifically asking Karim Benzema to join him at Al-Nassr, Ronaldo was incensed by his transfer from Al-Ittihad to Al-Hilal.

Cristiano Ronaldo believes Al-Hilal received preferential treatment, despite Al-Hilal sources stressing that minority owner Prince Alwaleed bin Talal funded the Benzema acquisition. On Thursday, Benzema scored a hat-trick in his debut match against Al-Akhdoud.

Ronaldo was instrumental in the hiring of Simao Coutinho as sporting director and Jose Semedo as CEO of the Nassr. It is believed that he is disappointed by the financial assistance provided to the two, so they can freely bring players in the transfer window.

Ronaldo is now anticipated to hold additional discussions with senior PIF and Saudi Pro League (SPL) authorities. The SPL has retaliated against the game boycotts, asserting that Ronaldo has no authority to affect other clubs’ operations.

Some think the former Manchester United forward would even own Al-Nassr after he retires. Saudi Pro League authorities want Cristiano Ronaldo to stay and score 1,000 goals in the Kingdom.

As part of a long-term strategy, PIF will eventually sell the club together with Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Ahli. Saudi sources emphasise that PIF’s participation in the four teams was only ever intended to be temporary.

Why does Cristiano Ronaldo want to leave the club?

Because of a lack of financial support for Al-Nassr in the transfer window.

Did Al-Nassr sign any players in the winter window?

Yes, they signed Hayder Abdulkareem and Abdullah Al-Hamdan.
