Denmark announce squad for March international break; Rasmus Hojlund included

The Danes will face Selecao in the quarterfinal of the competition.
When Brian Riemer revealed his roster on Tuesday for their Nations League quarterfinal matchup against Portugal, Mika Biereth, Lucas Hogsberg, Conrad Harder, and Victor Froholdt received their first national team calls.
The team for Denmark‘s forthcoming Nations League games against Portugal has pulled a number of surprises.
Remarkably, the team contained Victor Froholdt and Lucas Hogsberg, who have been outstanding discoveries in the Danish Superliga this season and merited the call-up.
The selection of Sporting Lissabon’s Conrad Harder and Chelsea’s Filip Jorgensen was additionally unexpected.
Mika Biereth was an obvious option for the team after breaking Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goal-scoring milestone in Ligue 1.
The 22-year-old front-runner’s decision to compete for Denmark, Bosnia, Germany, or England was hotly contested prior to the selection, but it appears that he will be willing to play the two games against Portugal.
Due to injuries, Yussuf Poulsen, Kasper Dolberg, and Alexander Bah were unavailable for the selection. Riemer views Andreas Christensen as a very valuable player, but he has missed nearly the whole season due to injury.
The Denmark national squad, which will play Portugal in two contests on March 20 and 23, has 23 players named in the squad in total.
