Ronaldo remained prolific this year as well.

Despite propelling Al Nassr to a record-breaking victory in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo was left furious.

Despite scoring twice in his team’s 3-0 triumph over Al Akhdoud, the legendary football player wasn’t content on the field. In the 31st minute and the third minute of stoppage time before halftime, Ronaldo netted his two goals in the first half.

He was well-positioned for another hat-trick in the Middle East after scoring his 39th and 40th goals of the season. And shortly after the hour mark, he believed he had scored.

The legendary Portuguese player finished a fantastic cross to score his third goal of the match, but a VAR check ensued.

Ronaldo’s goal was later discovered to have been offside after Sultan Al-Ghannam was offside during the build-up. Frustration erupted as he was denied what would have been his seventh hat-trick in the Saudi Pro League.

Cristiano Ronaldo was then seen screaming, apparently in the direction of the linesman on the field, with his arms out wide. After the goal was disallowed, he was furious with the ruling and kept yelling as play proceeded behind him.

The stakes may have increased Cristiano Ronaldo’s annoyance as his hat-trick goal was disallowed. From 2010 to 2024, the 40-year-old has scored at least one hat-trick per year.

However, he has now ended his streak finally in 2025 after 15 years of consistency. He had one more game left of the year to score three goals after offside denied his third against Al Akhdoud.

But that game, near the end of the year, on December 30, Al Nassr ended the play with Al Ettifaq in a 2-2 draw. Although Ronaldo managed to get on the end of the scoresheet, his hat-trick record that stood strong since 2010 ended with that game.
