Deschamps hits back at reporters after repeated questions about the Real Madrid star.

Didier Deschamps blasted reporters after following the questions regarding Kylian Mbappe’s omission from the France squad ahead of their UEFA Nations League matches against Israel and Italy.

Mbappé was not called up for Les Bleus’ last international break of the year, and it stunned many fans, considering the forward has been under huge scrutiny since his move to Real Madrid.

Mbappé has struggled to settle at Real Madrid and has found the back of the net only eight times across all competitions. This has led to his omission from the national team.

However, this was not the first time, as the 25-year-old was also excluded from the October international matches, and now another omission has raised questions over the player’s performance, given he is now the captain of France.

Kylian Mbappe isn’t here—please leave him alone: Didier Deschamps

Deschamps did give his reasons for not calling Mbappe after announcing the squad, but the head coach has been asked the same thing again and again, but this time the 2018 World Cup-winning manager blasted reporters and said:

“Listen, I told you what I told you,” Deschamps said. “You are free to speak and interpret that. I have a game tomorrow. There are 23 players here. Kylian isn’t here—please leave him alone.”

Mbappé has been hit with a big setback, and his only way to bounce back is to convince everyone around him with his performance, though he is not at centre stage at Real, given Vinicius Junior has been in fine form for the Los Blancos.

However, Mbappé has no option but to adjust to life at Madrid and operate as No. 9 and start firing goals before his importance starts to fade away and things get worse for him.

Mbappé will return to action once the international break is over and will have a point to prove this time, given all the eyes will be on him to show why Real Madrid signed him.
