Emmanuel Petit backs Kylian Mbappe to prove his doubters wrong at Real Madrid

Mbappe has been backed to make waves at Los Blancos.
After receiving a lot of backlash following his transfer to Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe’s reputation is gradually improving, and French great Emmanuel Petit is supporting his countryman to disprove all of his detractors.
The former Paris Saint-Germain player, who has scored in four of his past six LaLiga games, assisted Los Blancos in their run to the Spanish Super Cup final on Thursday night in Saudi Arabia.
According to Petit, Mbappe’s current form surge can be attributed in large part to his attitude shift. He had to play the part of a star and lead on all fronts at PSG, but at Madrid, he is part of a team full of international superstars.
Joining Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, and company was never going to be simple, but he has begun to build relationships with them on the field that has helped Madrid bounce back from a sluggish start to the season.
Speaking to DisCasino, Petit said: “Kylian Mbappe can definitely get silence his haters if he wins La Liga. He had to bare the responsibility at PSG and for France because he’s the leader of those teams. But, joining Real Madrid, who won La Liga and the Champions League last year, it was never going to be easy.
“But, step by step, Mbappe is improving and settling. There have been problems off the pitch too, but that seems to be coming to an end. He had too much presence on social media too, now he’s being a bit more humble and silent, focusing on his form at Real Madrid. His passion to be the best is showing and he has the ability to stand out.”
This weekend’s Spanish Super Cup final between Madrid and Barcelona promises to be another exciting El Clasico. After suffering a crushing 4-0 LaLiga loss to Barcelona in October, Mbappe will be looking to make an impression in the match.
