The Norwegian penned a nine-and-a-half-year extension deal with Manchester City.
With the signing of a new nine-and-a-half-year extension, Erling Haaland will pocket £260million with Manchester City until 2034.
When Erling Haaland’s impressive new nine-and-a-half-year contract expires, he will have earned at least £260 million.
After leaving Borussia Dortmund for Manchester City in 2022, the 24-year-old Norwegian attacker has become a phenomenon in English football. Haaland has scored 111 goals in 126 games for the Cityzens under Pep Guardiola’s coaching, winning two Premier League championships, an FA Cup, and a Champions League, with plans to add more silverware in the future.
Haaland has renewed his dedication to the northwest region of England by agreeing to a nearly ten-year contract that will keep him at the Etihad until the end of the 2033–2034 season, despite recent ties to Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.
Although a new release clause will take effect in 2029, the new contract removes all current ones. Haaland’s present weekly salary of £375,000 is expected to be significantly increased, possibly reaching over £500,000 before bonuses are taken into account.
By the time his contract expires in 2034, Haaland would have accumulated an incredible pre-tax total of over £260 million, especially as his salary is reportedly retroactive to the beginning of the current Premier League season.
Erling Haaland’s reported salary breakdown at Man City
According to the Manchester Evening News, his weekly income of £500,000 is equivalent to £71,428 per day and £2,976 per hour. Haaland’s earnings are anticipated to reach at least £292 million when his reported net worth of £32 million ($40 million) is added to the enormous amount he would earn over the next ten years.
Revenue from sponsorships and achievement bonuses, which are common for elite athletes, is also not included in this amount. Additionally, Haaland has worked with well-known companies like Nike, EA, Breitling, Dolce & Gabbana, and Midea, landing rich sponsorship deals that increase his earnings.
