Euro 2024: Luke Shaw returns to training ahead of England's clash against Slovenia

The left-back missed Three Lions last two games due to injury
On the eve of Englandās match against Slovenia at Euro 2024, Luke Shaw made his way back to the training field with the other 25 players.
After two games, Gareth Southgateās team has four points, and they will play Slovenia in Cologne with the goal of taking first place in Group C.
Shaw was a surprising addition to Southgateās finals team despite having not played since sustaining a hamstring injury while playing for Manchester United in February.
At Englandās training camp, Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land, Shaw was practising on the grass alongside his teammates as part of an individual programme aimed at getting him match-fit. Southgate is still trying to find the proper balance for his team, so he has some selection issues for the match in Cologne.
Englandās mediocre Euro 2024 campaign so far
Despite starting both games in midfield, Trent Alexander-Arnold has occasionally had difficulties, and it is difficult to get the most effective performance out of Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane, Phil Foden, and Bukayo Saka all in the same starting lineup.
But if England advances to the next round, he might be eligible for this weekendās match. This is based on his return this morning. With Shawās return, Southgate was able to train with all 26 of his players today.
The England boss had hoped that the top player for United may have started against Slovenia after sitting on the sidelines in the second game against Denmark. Joe Gomez of Liverpool, who is also right-footed, is the next in line.
The left-back position hasnāt been Southgateās only weak point in the tournament thus far; his selection of Trent Alexander-Arnold in midfield has drawn criticism.
