Euro 2024: All Round of 16 fixture revealed: Cristiano Ronaldo’a Portugal to face Slovakia
With Group games ending Euro 2024 will now head for round of 16.
The Round of 16 for Euro 2024 has been revealed. Out of the 24 teams who entered the competition, 16 will move on to the next phase, while the remaining eight will have to return home.
The top two teams from each group and the four best third-placed sides from each group advance to the Round of 16.
Eight nations have been officially qualified from the top two finishes in their respective groups, with four groups now completed. As the top three-placed teams, Netherlands and Slovenia have advanced to the round of 16.
Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and the top two teams in each group attend the Round of 16.
Six of the bottom nations from each of the six groups and two of the bottom teams from the third-place teams in Euro 2024 will be eliminated.
There are now three teams in the Euro 2024 that have been eliminated from the tournament.
The three sides from Group E—Romania, Belgium, and Slovakia—qualified for the knockout rounds of the 2024 European Championship, setting up a tight last matchday for the group rounds.
The 16 teams for this year’s Euros have finally been confirmed, following 36 matches spread over 12 days. Switzerland will play Italy in the inaugural round of 16 encounters at the Olympiastadion Berlin in Berlin.
